J. Paul Hoppenjans

J. Paul Hoppenjans has a long history of experience in finance and accounting. J. Paul began their career in 2000 as Vice President of Finance for Rivien Communications, LLC. In 2001, they became the Controller for Business Development at PPL Global, LLC, where they supervised the local accounting operation and handled all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. J. Paul then worked as an Associate/Consultant for Resources Global Professionals from 2003 to 2004, where they completed a variety of projects including forensic accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley, and financial statement preparation work. In 2004, they took on the role of Acting CFO & Controller for Prestwick Pharmaceuticals, Inc., leading financial roles for a 30-person, venture-backed biopharmaceutical company. J. Paul then moved to 6K Systems, Inc. in 2010, where they were the Controller for a $7 million government contractor providing management consulting and IT services. From 2012 to 2017, they were the Chief Financial Officer/VP-Finance & Administration at CSR, Incorporated. J. Paul then moved to Tangible Security in 2017, where they served as the Chief Financial Officer and upgraded processes to prepare for expected company growth, including conversion to Deltek Costpoint system from Deltek GCS Premier. J. Paul then moved to BGS Consulting in 2019, where they were a Financial Services Consultant, completing high level financial projects and interim CFO/Controller engagements. J. Paul is currently the Chief Financial Officer at BCT Partners, where they are primarily accountable for all finance and accounting functions, including financial strategy & forecasting, treasury, reporting, and overseeing the management, compliance, and general activities of accounting.

J. Paul Hoppenjans obtained their MBA from The George Washington University School of Business in 1994, with a focus on Finance & Investments. J. Paul also obtained a Bachelor of Science (magna cum laude) from the University of Maryland in 1986, with a focus on Accounting. Additionally, they hold an inactive CPA certification from Maryland.
