Toby Neilson

Toby Neilson is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in leading design teams and managing architectural projects. Currently serving as the Director and Head of Architecture at BDG architecture + design since September 2013, Toby specializes in strategy, design, and the adaptive re-use of existing buildings across all RIBA stages. Toby also founded Toby Neilson Architects in 2008, focusing on research-driven design and innovative technologies. Previous roles include Senior Project Architect at Nabito Architectura and Project Architect at Peter Barber Architects, where Toby contributed to award-winning projects in social and community housing. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture from UCL and the University of Westminster, complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Newcastle University.
