Kia Reed

Kia Reed, MSM, SDEI, SHRM-CP has extensive experience in talent management and human resources. Kia is currently the Director of Talent and People Operations at BDS Connected Solutions, LLC. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Senior Manager of Talent and Talent Management Business Partner at the same company. Reed has also served as a Board Member at KristinAdvising LLC and Project Kindred. Kia'sprevious experience includes roles such as Human Resources Director at Stowell Associates Inc., Human Capital Director at CONNECTURE, and Sr HR Operations Manager at MillerCoors. Kia has also worked as a Corporate HR Manager at Capri Senior Communities and held various roles at Kohl's Department Stores, including Team Leader and Human Resources Business Partner. Reed began their career as a Human Resources Supervisor at Brookdale Senior Living and later became a Sr. Human Resources Generalist, responsible for various HR functions such as workplace investigations, compliance, reporting, exit interviews, and training coordination. With their diverse background and expertise, Reed brings a wealth of knowledge to their current role in talent and people operations.

Kia Reed has a Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Cardinal Stritch University, obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature, General at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they hold certifications such as the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in 2015 and the Professional of Human Resources certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in June 2013. Furthermore, they are currently pursuing the Strategic Diversity, Equity & Inclusion certification from the Human Capital Institute, expected to be obtained in 2023. Kia has also completed the Masterclass in High Performance Teams with Marcus Buckingham from WOBI.
