Lauran Settoon M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in the field of counseling and education. Lauran started their career in 2008 as a Middle School Teacher at Victory Academy, where they taught Science and Spanish until 2011. In 2011, they interned as a Counselor Student Intern at Springfield Elementary School, followed by a role as a Practicum Student Counselor at SELU Center for Student Excellence. In 2012, they joined Hollander Counseling and Consulting as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, specializing in play therapy, child therapy, and various other areas of counseling. Lauran later transitioned to Beacon Behavioral Hospital, where they held multiple roles including Clinical Intake Coordinator, Mental Health Therapist PRN, Clinical Auditor and Educator - IOP, and currently serves as the Regional Director of Outpatient Operations.

Lauran Settoon M.Ed. received their Master of Education in School Counseling and Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish, from Louisiana State University, from 2005 to 2008. In addition, Lauran obtained the certification of Licensed Professional Counselor from the LPC Board of Examiners in June 2018.
