Janine Fowler

Janine Fowler's work experience begins in 2005 with their role as a Tax Specialist at H&R Block Franchise. Their responsibilities included completing individual and business tax returns, as well as maintaining books for small businesses.

In 2012, they transitioned to the Bedford County School System as a Substitute Teacher. Janine held this role until 2015.

In 2015, Janine joined the Virginia Credit Union League as a Compliance Analyst. After seven months, they moved on to their next position.

In 2016, they started working at Beacon Credit Union as a Compliance Officer. After two years, they were promoted to the role of Assistant Vice President of Operations and Project Management. Most recently, they hold the position of Vice President of Operations/Project Manager, starting in October 2019.

Overall, Janine has gained extensive experience in compliance, project management, teaching, and taxation throughout their career.

Janine Fowler has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Lynchburg, which they obtained from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature, General from the same university from 2012 to 2014. Janine also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies from Central Virginia Community College, which they acquired from 2010 to 2012. Janine Fowler has additional certifications, including Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS), which they obtained from CUNA – Credit Union National Association in 2015.
