Jaco Van Der Berg

Jaco Van Der Berg has over 18 years of experience in the technology industry. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as an Oracle and SQL Server DBA at Columbus Stainless / Gijima AST. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as an Oracle DBA at Business Connexion. Jaco then moved to Betfair in 2007, where they worked as an Oracle DBA and later as Head of Hosting Services from 2011 to 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an Oracle DBA at Barclays Capital. From 2016 to 2022, they worked at THG, where they held roles such as Senior Director of Technology, Director of Supply Chain Development and Integrations (Technology), Director of Engineering, and Head of Data. Currently, they are the Director of Engineering - Data & Integrations at Beacon, where they are responsible for making supply chains simple and efficient.

Jaco Van Der Berg attended North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science. Jaco then attended Nottingham Trent University from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (Data Analytics) in Business Administration with Data Analytics.
