Alexis Elam

Alexis Elam, JD, CHC has extensive work experience in the healthcare compliance field. From 2023 to present, they have served as the VP of Compliance at Beacon Healthcare Systems. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2023, they held the position of Senior Vice President Compliance and Privacy at onehome. Alexis also worked as the Director of Corporate Compliance at Wellpath from 2020 to 2021 and as a Compliance and Privacy Officer at Kemberton from 2019 to 2020.

During their time at naviHealth, Inc. from 2015 to 2018, Alexis held various roles including VP of Compliance Audit and Monitoring and Director of Compliance. In these positions, they were responsible for implementing and overseeing corporate, HIPAA Privacy, Information Security, and operational compliance programs.

Before that, they worked as a Manager of Medicare Quality and Audit Support at Catamaran from 2014 to 2015. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Regulatory Auditor, Senior Specialist at Windsor Health Plan. Prior to this, they worked as a Field Auditor at ACS Healthcare Provider Solutions from 2009 to 2012.

Alexis began their career as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy from 1997 to 2009, where they transcribed and filled prescription orders and provided counseling to Medicare Advantage members. In 2006, they briefly worked as a Part D Specialist at Cigna-HealthSpring.

Alexis Elam, JD, CHC completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from Belmont University in the years 1996 to 2001. Following that, they pursued and earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the Nashville School of Law between 2005 and 2009.
