Thomas Schmitz

Thomas Schmitz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Thomas began their career as a Sr. Staff Accountant at Reinsel & Co LLP in 1997 before moving to Infonxx Inc as a General Ledger Specialist in 2000. Thomas then joined Penske as an Accounting Manager in 2002. In 2004, they became a Regional Controller at Quality Roofing Supply, where they provided comprehensive financial analysis and created rolling budget to actual financial analysis. From 2012 to 2014, Thomas served as the North Division Controller at Beacon Roofing Supply, managing accounting and finance staff while also leading acquisition target forecast models and coordinating the SOX audit review. Thomas continued to grow in the company, taking on roles such as VP Finance for the North Division and Canada Division and Vice President & Corporate Controller. Their most recent position at Beacon Building Products was as the VP Finance, where they were responsible for finance and led the accounting and finance group. Overall, Thomas Schmitz has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and leadership throughout their career.

Thomas Schmitz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Albright College between 1997 and 2000. Thomas later pursued a Master of Finance (M Fin) degree in Finance from Penn State Great Valley from 2008 to 2009.
