Dr Kari Dempsey

Dr. Kari Dempsey is a highly experienced technology leader currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Director at Beam since June 2021. Prior to this, Dr. Dempsey held multiple roles at the UK Hydrographic Office, culminating in Chief Data Scientist, and has a rich background in data analytics consultancy at Praesto Consulting, working with renowned clients such as AstraZeneca and Reckitt Benckiser. Dr. Dempsey possesses extensive skills in developing business intelligence solutions, data analysis, project management, and data warehouse design, supported by proficiency in various programming languages and tools including SQL, Python, and Hadoop. Academic achievements include a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics and an MBA with a finance focus from the University of Exeter Business School.
