Geoffrey Daniels

Geoffrey Daniels is a highly experienced software engineer specializing in computer vision and SLAM systems for autonomous vehicles. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Beam since September 2024, Geoffrey is focused on developing the Subsea Visual SLAM System. As the founder of Polytopy since March 2022, Geoffrey is creating bespoke computer vision software. Previous roles include Crew Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota, where Geoffrey cut visual map production time significantly, and Tech Lead at AiFi Inc., leading a multinational team in customer tracking for autonomous stores. Geoffrey's expertise is further underscored by positions at Ultraleap, Kudan, Close Air Solutions Limited, and embedded software roles at the University of Bristol. Geoffrey holds a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and a Master of Engineering in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Bristol.
