Kalyn Eshleman

Kalyn Eshleman has a diverse work experience. Kalyn started their professional career as a Mathematics Teacher at STEM High and Academy in 2015, where they focused on innovative and technology-based teaching methods. Kalyn then moved on to Cherokee Trail High School as a Computer Science and Mathematics Teacher, where they developed computer programs to solve problems and delivered instruction activities for Algebra courses.

In 2018, Kalyn worked as a Software Engineer at Longbow Software, where they contributed to software development projects. The following year, they joined Ibotta, Inc. as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Ibotta, they led cross-functional teams and undertook projects related to search functionality, content delivery platforms, and micro-service extraction. Kalyn also collaborated with various teams to design solutions.

From 2020 to 2023, Kalyn worked at Guild Education as a Senior Software Engineer. Kalyn led multiple teams and focused on TypeScript and Python lambdas for various use-cases, such as building APIs and data ingestion. Kalyn also implemented a series of Hexagonal FAAS micro-services and re-architected financial data ingestion services.

Most recently, in 2023, Kalyn joined Beam Impact as a Senior Software Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Kalyn Eshleman attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. In May 2015, they obtained an Initial Teaching certification from the Colorado Department of Education.
