Robert Kilian has a long and varied career in the finance industry. Robert started as an Associate at Hengeler Mueller in 2012, followed by a role as General Counsel and Chief Representative (Generalbevollmächtigter) at N26 from 2015. In 2017, they joined the Bundesministerium der Finanzen as a Member of the FinTech Council (FinTechRat). Robert also took on a Lecturer role at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin that same year. In 2020, they became an Advisor at KI Ventures UG and Founder at Beams. Most recently, they joined the N26 Group as a Member of the Supervisory Board in 2022.
Robert Kilian obtained an Executive Diploma in Management from the University of St.Gallen in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Cologne in 2009. From 2005 to 2008, they completed their 1st State Exam in Law at the University of Cologne. Robert also obtained a Midterm Exam in Law from Heidelberg University in 2005. Furthermore, they were an Officer of the Reserve at the Offizierschule des Heeres from 2002 to 2005.
