David Silver

David Silver has a strong background in robotics and self-driving cars. David is currently working as the Head of Engineering at Bear Flag Robotics since February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Robotics at Iron Ox from July 2021 to October 2022. David also has extensive experience at Waymo, where they held the positions of Technical Lead, Territory Expansion from June 2020 to July 2021, and Tech Lead/Manager, Scene Understanding from January 2017 to May 2020. David also worked at Google as a Tech Lead/Manager, Scene Understanding, and Technical Lead, Scene Understanding from 2016 to 2016, and a Robotics Researcher from 2013 to 2015. Earlier in their career, David worked at the National Robotics Engineering Center as a Robotics Commercialization Specialist from November 2010 to February 2013, and as a Robotics Engineer from June 2005 to September 2007. David also served as a Research Consultant at Carnegie Mellon University's Sensor Based Planning Lab from January 2003 to September 2003.

David Silver has a strong educational background in robotics and computer science. David obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 2002. David continued their studies at the same university and completed a Master's Degree in Robotics in 2005. David then pursued further specialization in Robotics and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010.
