Ian Deneeve

Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Beaufort County

Ian deNeeve is a seasoned Geographic Information Systems Analyst currently employed by Beaufort County since August 2019, specializing in ArcGIS Online administration and application development. Additionally, Ian has been serving as a GIS Analyst for the Beaufort County Open Land Trust since January 2012, focusing on mapping for land management support. As an Adjunct Professor in Anthropology at the University of South Carolina Beaufort since August 2007, Ian teaches courses on cultural anthropology. Previous experience includes roles at the Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority and Beaufort County, where Ian focused on GIS data integrity, acquisition, and map creation. Ian's early career included positions at TRC and as a Cultural Resources Intern with ORISE/Fort Gordon, where work involved assessing historic cemeteries and archaeological sites. Ian holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance and Anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
