Beautiful.ai is changing the way the world presents by building fast, foolproof tools that enable anyone to tell visual stories that win. We are looking for an experienced and versatile data analyst to join us in our pursuit! This role has an opportunity for tremendous impact and is best suited for a self-starter who excels at tackling both concrete and ambiguous problems.

The Beautiful.ai team is a playful, driven, and passionate group of pet-lovers, video-gamers, and pickleball enthusiasts. With a globally-distributed remote team and a San Francisco-based office, we find unique opportunities to get to know each other personally, while delivering on our goals. Data-driven decision making and an outcomes-focused mindset are core to our way of working.

About the role

In this role, you will be instrumental in providing behavioral and growth analytics insights by combining your knowledge of the modern data stack with a deep understanding of the product value proposition. Your expertise in data analysis, advanced visualization, custom attribution modeling, and event tracking will be essential in enhancing our business strategies.

This role will report directly to the Head of Product and Growth and will be responsible for data insights across the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Own the data narrative: As the vital link across key growth areas in the business, you will synthesize insights from product usage, sales, marketing and finance to articulate a data-driven explanation about what’s happening in the business and why. Using this knowledge, you’ll formulate frameworks and identify opportunities to help us operate more effectively.
  • Employ the modern data stack: Leverage your proficiency with dbt, Snowflake, Mode, Stitch, SQL, and Python to transform raw data into actionable insights, develop data pipelines, and build data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders: You will collaborate with teams across the organization, including Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, and Product, understand their data needs, provide insights, and assist in making data-driven decisions.
  • Analyze SaaS metrics: Utilize a strong background in SaaS metrics by tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as daily active users, Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
  • Analyze key marketing metrics: You will monitor and explain fluctuations in marketing performance. You’ve supported data needs across multiple marketing channels in your previous roles, such as email, social, and paid ads. Your familiarity with third party marketing tools and APIs enables you to easily derive insights and troubleshoot discrepancies across business-user reporting and data warehouse models.
  • API Integration: Utilize API calls into 3rd party applications for seamless data retrieval and integration into analytical and operational workflows.
  • Custom Attribution Modeling: Implement custom attribution models to measure the impact of marketing initiatives accurately.
  • A/B Testing: Collaborate on the framework for A/B testing experiments, report on test outcomes, and provide recommendations based on test results.
  • Event Tracking: Define and implement event tracking mechanisms to capture user behaviors and interactions.
  • Documentation: Demonstrate discipline in documentation, ensuring that data analysis processes, insights, and results are well-documented for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Data Infrastructure Consultation: Evaluate the current data infrastructure and propose recommendations and cost-saving opportunities to enhance data processing, storage, and analysis capabilities.
  • Product Led Growth (PLG) expertise: Leverage experience working with Product Led Growth (PLG) business models to assess product usage and user behavior to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Advanced Visualizations: Create compelling and insightful visualizations, including Sankey diagrams, web charts, and network diagrams, to effectively communicate complex data relationships and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with a modern data stack, including dbt, Snowflake, Mode, Stitch, and Python.
  • SQL proficiency
  • Experience working with Stripe reporting and integrating API calls.
  • Solid understanding of data infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Proven track record of engaging with multiple stakeholders across different departments to understand their data needs
  • Ability to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in analyzing and interpreting SaaS metrics
  • Familiarity with Product Led Growth (PLG) business models and expertise in analyzing user behavior and product usage data.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting data-driven strategies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex data challenges.
  • Strong expertise in behavioral analytics, A/B testing, and custom attribution modeling.
