Shelley Hemenway has a diverse work experience in various educational roles. Shelley is currently working as an Instructional Technology Specialist and English Teacher at Beaverton School District since 2021. Previously, they were associated with Reynolds School District from 2014 to 2022, where they served as a Language Arts Teacher and also worked as an Instructional Technology TOSA. In their TOSA role, they provided coaching and leadership in curriculum, instruction, and instructional technology. Before that, they worked as a Foreign Exchange Student Coordinator at Laurasian Institute from 2013 to 2022, where they connected talented teenagers with host families. Shelley also gained teaching experience as a Technology/Humanities Teacher at Beaverton School District from 2008 to 2014, and as a Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher at Eugene 4j School District from 2006 to 2008.

Shelley Hemenway has a Bachelor's Degree in History and Geography, which they obtained from the University of Oregon from 2003 to 2005. Shelley then pursued a Master's Degree in Secondary Education, also at the University of Oregon, which they completed in 2006. In 2011, Shelley continued their education at Western Oregon University and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Technology, which they completed in 2013. Finally, in 2014 and 2015, they attended the University of Portland to earn an Administrative License in Education.
