David Broughton

David Broughton has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. David started their career as a Production Planner at Grampian Country Food Group in 1994. David then worked as a Supply Chain Systems Analyst at Safeway Stores Plc from 1996 to 1998 and as a Management Information Systems Analyst at the same company in 1999.

In 1999, David joined Eqos Ltd as a Senior Build and Test Developer, where they were responsible for building and testing .Net web-based supply chain software. David also automated the build process and created installation packages for customer solutions. David worked at Eqos Ltd until 2005.

From 2005 to 2008, David worked as a Build Manager at Beazley Furlonge Ltd. David then joined Computershare in 2008 as a .Net Developer - Build and Deploy, where they developed global solutions and provided support for development teams.

In 2009, David returned to Beazley and held various roles, including Build and Release Manager, Global IT Infrastructure Manager, and Global IT Operations Manager.

Since 2015, David has been with Beazley as the Head of DevOps, overseeing the technical aspects of software development, infrastructure, and operations within the insurance industry. David has played a crucial role in aligning technology strategies with business goals and implementing DevOps practices.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated leadership skills, collaboration, and an innovative approach towards technology.

David Broughton earned a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Coventry University between 1990 and 1994. In 2002, they obtained certifications as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator from NIIT. In addition, they obtained several certifications in 2021, including AppDynamics Verified Core APM from Cisco, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft, and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance.
