Paul Russell has diverse work experience in the fields of natural hazards research, catastrophe advisory, graduate research, recreation, biological technology, and estuary outreach. Paul has held positions such as Natural Hazards Research Lead at Beazley, Assistant Vice President - Catastrophe Advisory at Guy Carpenter, Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, Recreation Technician and Abandoned Mine Lands Inventory and GIS Assistant at the Bureau of Land Management, Biological Technician - GIS at Glacial Ridge National Wildlife Refuge, and Estuary Outreach Intern at the Student Conservation Association. Paul has demonstrated skills in project management, research, data collection, GIS support, and environmental outreach during their various roles.

Paul Russell earned an Associate's degree in Oceanography from Everett Community College in 2012. Paul then went on to the University of Washington where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Oceanography in 2014. After that, Paul pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at The Ohio State University from 2016 to 2018.
