Lucinda Einhouse

President & CEO at Beck Center for the Arts

A lifelong passion for the arts and commitment to the Greater Cleveland community has culminated in Cindy Einhouse’s current role as President & CEO of Beck Center for the Arts. Since May 2007, she has worked closely with staff and board of directors to stabilize the organization’s finances and increase its visibility and engagement with the community. Over the years, the number of people served by Beck Center has grown 30% to over 60,000 across five counties, and a $6.7m capital campaign is now underway.

Her educational background includes an MBA from Cleveland State University and a BA in Music from Kent State University. She began her career at Playhouse Square Foundation in 1980, building an annual fund program and assisting with a capital campaign to raise $37.7 million to renovate the historic Playhouse Square theatres. In 1995, she was recruited to the Cleveland Clinic as part of a management team to conduct a $225 million capital campaign, which concluded ahead of schedule in 2000. In 2001, she was recruited to the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) to direct a capital campaign to raise $40 million for facility expansion and endowment, successfully completed in Sept 2006.

Ms. Einhouse was a member of the Board and Executive Committee of LakewoodAlive from 2013-2020, a non-profit economic development organization. She served on the Board of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce from 2008-2015 and was Chair of that board from 2013 to 2015. She has served as a Mentor for Cleveland State University’s Graduate student program and the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations. She is a co-founder of the North Coast Women’s Sailing Association, and she co-chaired the Arts Outreach Committee for the Gay Games 2014 in Cleveland. She was a volunteer tutor for Refugee Response 2018-2020, a mentor for College Now since 2019, and a volunteer for Cleveland Rape Crisis’ Sing Out Chorus since 2000.
