James Garvin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the life sciences and diagnostics sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Open Innovation & Alliance Partnerships for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, James is responsible for fostering global partnerships and driving product growth. Prior roles include leading global commercial operations for Thermo Fisher Scientific, managing a pre-clinical CRO division at The Jackson Laboratory, and overseeing continuing education programs at UC Davis Extension. James has a strong background in strategic marketing and business development, having worked with notable companies such as The MarkeTech Group and Genentech. Academically, James holds an MBA in Strategy from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Lynchburg.
