Paul R. Morris

Paul R. Morris, MD, MA, FCAP has a strong background in medical and scientific affairs, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Paul R. currently serves as the Medical Director at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics since January 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Director, Medical and Scientific Affairs at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics from February 2019 to January 2020. Before joining Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, they worked as a Medical Director (Labs) at DaVita Inc. from February 2018 to January 2019. From April 2015 to July 2017, they served as a Senior Associate Medical Director at Abbott Diagnostics, Point of Care. Dr. Morris also has experience as a Medical Director, Assistant Clinical Professor, and CLIA Laboratory Director at the University of Miami Tissue Bank from 2008 to 2014, as well as a Medical Director and CLIA Laboratory Director at Community Blood Centers of South Florida (OneBlood) from 2002 to 2007.

Paul R. Morris, MD, MA, FCAP completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Boston University School of Medicine from 1993 to 1997. Paul R. then pursued a Pathology Residency at Duke University School of Medicine from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they completed a Transfusion Medicine/Blood Banking Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 2002. In addition to their education, they obtained several certifications including becoming a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in December 2021. Paul R. is also a Diplomate in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine as well as Clinical Pathology from The American Board of Pathology (ABPath), obtained in 2004 and 2003 respectively. Paul R. holds an active and unrestricted medical license from the STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, obtained in January 2021.
