Lina Koca

Lina Koca has a diverse work experience. Lina worked as a First Story Young Writers Programme Lead Teacher at First Story starting from November 2022. Lina also served as a Bedrock Learning Lead Teacher from November 2022 onwards. Prior to that, Lina was an English Teacher and then a Learning Mentor at Education for the 21st Century from August 2021 to January 2022. Additionally, they worked as a SEN Teaching Assistant at Oasis Community Learning from March 2021 to August 2021. Lina also has experience as a Restaurant and Bar Manager at Hattusa Restaurant from June 2015 to March 2021.

Lina Koca obtained their Bachelor's degree in Education Studies from UCL from 2017 to 2020. During this time, they focused on Education, Practice, and Society. In addition to their degree, Lina has also acquired several certifications. Lina obtained a certificate in Financial Studies from The London Institute of Banking & Finance in August 2016. Continuing their education, Lina obtained a Certificate in Child Protection in Education from Tes Institute in March 2021. Furthermore, they have completed various courses and certifications related to mental health, child protection, online safety, and preventing radicalization, among others. These include certifications like Mental Health Champions Foundation from Place2Be in June 2022, Learning How to Increase Learner Engagement from LinkedIn Learning 2 in November 2021, and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021 from The Key Support Services in October 2021. Lina also holds certifications in areas such as peer-on-peer abuse, preventing radicalization, and safeguarding and child protection from The Key Support Services, all obtained in October 2021. Most recently, in February 2023, Lina obtained a certification related to the Turkish Society from UCL Turkish Society.
