Mark Hornak

Mark Hornak is currently the Lead Mechanical Engineer at BeeHex, LLC. Mark has previous experience working as a 3D Printing CAD Consultant at IC3D Printers, a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University, and as an intern for both General Motors Powertrain and General Motors Milford Proving Grounds. As an intern at GM Powertrain, they worked on projects concerning magnetic materials for electric motor applications. This included magnetic testing of materials, analysis of test data, benchmarking of magnetic motor materials, and the development of a specialized testing procedure. As an intern at GM Milford Proving Grounds, they worked on the energy performance of new hybrid programs. This included vehicle simulation testing to map and control EV acceleration, thermal instrumentation and dynamometer testing to determine consumer-acceptable temperature profiles, and the development of various fuel economy and EV acceleration tracking tools.

Mark Hornak received a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University. Mark also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University.
