Marie BAL-FONTAINE has a diverse range of work experience in the field of industrial design. Marie started their career as an Organizer in a summer camp at EDF in 2015. From there, they worked as an Industrial Designer at Groupe SEB, where they focused on home appliance concepts and CAD and CMF development. Marie then moved on to Ciszak Dalmas S.L., where they worked on scenography furniture and concepts, as well as material experimentations. Marie BAL-FONTAINE also worked at Layer_design as an Industrial Designer, where they focused on strategic industrial design for international brands and website development. Marie later worked at Normann Copenhagen as a Furniture Designer and at Above.se as an Industrial Designer. Marie also had a role as a Creative Designer at Instead, where they worked on crowdfunding service imagery, website UX and development, and packaging development. Most recently, they worked at 5.5 as an Industrial Designer, focusing on strategic narrative design for French and industrial brands, as well as product development, prototyping, and client and industry meetings. Marie is currently working as an Industrial Designer at Beem Energy, where they specialize in industrial design management, research and innovation, and future product concepts and development.

Marie Bal-Fontaine completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Product Design from L'École de design Nantes Atlantique from 2015 to 2018. Marie then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in FDB - Food Design and Brand - International section from the same institution, from 2019 to 2021.
