Andy Harper

Andy Harper has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Andy is currently serving as the Group CIO at Begbies Traynor Group since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Elior UK as the CIO from March 2019 to November 2021, where they led the digital transformation efforts and development of IT standards. Andy also held various roles at Greencore, including Portfolio Delivery Director and Head of Group Business Solutions, where they focused on IT program delivery and establishing the group architecture function.

Before their time at Greencore, Andy worked as a Consultant at Project One, where they delivered transformational programs for clients. Andy also served as the Group IS Director at Speedy Hire PLC, where they defined and implemented the IT strategy for the company. At Electricity North West, they held the position of Head of IS Services and was responsible for a £15m annual budget.

Earlier in their career, Andy worked at Vertex Data Science as an Account Development Manager and later as Magellan Operations Director, overseeing the delivery of IT services to clients in the energy sector. Andy also worked at United Utilities, holding roles such as Head of IS and Programme Manager, responsible for IS services and managing the re-tender of IS service contracts.

Andy started their career at Accenture as a Senior Manager in the Technology Division, where they worked on large-scale systems integration programs for blue-chip clients in the UK.

Throughout their career, Andy has demonstrated expertise in IT leadership, digital transformation, program delivery, and establishing IT strategies.

Andy Harper attended St Richard Gwyn RC High School for an unknown period of time. After completing high school, they enrolled at The University of Manchester in 1988 and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
