Emily Hughes has a diverse range of work experience. Emily most recently worked as a Conversion Marketing Strategist at behindthechair.com starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Marketing & Operations at Hodges Coaching from 2021 to 2023. Emily also worked as a Public Relations Intern at the same company from 2020 to 2021. Before that, Emily held leadership positions in the Delta Zeta Sorority, including Head of Standards in 2020 and Vice President of Programming in 2019. Emily began their career as a Patient Relations Representative at Saint Clair Allergy and Asthma Center, PLLC from 2018 to 2019. Emily's earliest work experience was as an Assistant & Guest Relations at Hair Odyssey from 2016 to 2018.

Emily Hughes attended Cousino Senior High School from 2013 to 2017, obtaining a High School Diploma. Emily then proceeded to Grand Valley State University, where they studied Entrepreneurship & Marketing and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA. In addition to their formal education, Emily has also obtained several certifications. In 2021, they completed the Hodges Leadership Institute programs on Self-Leadership and Team Leadership, provided by Hodges Coaching. Furthermore, in 2022, Emily obtained certifications in "Elementor - Build Amazing WordPress Pages," "WooCommerce - How to Build an E-Commerce Store w/ WordPress & WooCommerce," and "Yoast SEO," all from Udemy. In 2023, they completed the "Build a Full Website Using WordPress" certification offered by Coursera.
