Alex Sobral

Alex Sobral serves as the Regional Engineering Director at Beiersdorf, overseeing engineering initiatives in Latin America since returning to the region in June 2002. With a robust background in manufacturing and engineering, Alex previously held roles including Global Head of Factory Design and Investments, where leadership in a €1 billion CAPEX project transformed global manufacturing capabilities. Other key positions include Managing Director of Beiersdorf Manufacturing Itatiba and Technical Sr. Manager for the new factory in Mexico, emphasizing a strong focus on operational efficiency and Lean Manufacturing principles. Alex's educational background includes an MBA from FGV and an Engineer’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Faculdade Politécnica de Jundiaí.
