Christian Haferkemper

Christian Haferkemper has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Christian currently holds the position of Head Quality Europe and fvP/Swiss RP at BeiGene since September 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director and Head Commercial Quality Europe at BeiGene from December 2021 to October 2022. Before joining BeiGene, Christian worked at Novartis for a significant period. Their roles at Novartis included Team Leader Sterile QA Compliance Incident, Audit and Inspection, Senior Quality Assurance Manager, Process Unit Facilitator, and Project Manager and Senior Process Manager. Christian also gained experience as a Junior Plant Manager Multi-Purpose Production & Small-Scale Production at Dottikon Exclusive Synthesis AG from 2009 to 2011.

Christian Haferkemper obtained a Certificate in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from the Institute of Technology, Sligo in 2021-2022. Prior to that, they earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Heidelberg University from 2005-2009 and a Diploma in Organic Chemistry/Computational Chemistry from Heidelberg University in 2004-2005. Christian also has additional certifications, including Power BI Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2020, CGMP Lead Auditor from Novartis in 2018, and Novartis IQP Silver (Six Sigma Green Belt) from Novartis in 2015.
