Rachael Allen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Rachael most recently worked at BeiGene as a Senior Director - Medical Affairs starting in December 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Novartis Oncology starting in 2019 as the Director, Strategy & Communication - Melanoma, PROS, and then as the Melanoma Strategy, Communications & Scientific Content Development Director until June 2020. Rachael also held roles at Novartis as the Regional Scientific Director - Oncology from 2015 to 2019, and as the Area Scientific Associate Director - MSL Oncology from 2012 to 2015.
Before their time at Novartis, Rachael worked at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Medical Science Liaison from 2010 to 2012, and at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Medical Science Liaison - Oncology from 2007 to 2010.
Their earlier experiences include working at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Registrar from 2005 to 2007, and as a Postdoctoral Associate from 2004 to 2005. Rachael also worked at Queensland University of Technology as a Senior Laboratory Supervisor and Tutorial Lecturer from 1999 to 2003.
Rachael Allen earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Medical Biotechnology and Microbiology from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 1998. Rachael then pursued an Honours degree in Molecular Biotechnology from the same institution and completed it in 2000. Finally, Rachael obtained their PhD in Molecular Biology from QUT in 2003.
