Arran Metcalfe has a diverse background in the maritime industry, starting from their education in Marine Sciences to their current role as an Assistant Harbour Master at Belfast Harbour. With experience ranging from being a Beach Lifeguard to working as a Marine Mammal Observer, Arran has built a strong foundation in the field. Arran's work as a Deck Cadet on various vessels has provided him with essential experience towards obtaining their Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency. Additionally, their time at Whiteford Geoservices as an Environmental Science Engineer allowed him to gain experience in data gathering and processing. Throughout their career, Arran has shown dedication, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
