Hannes Heylen has a diverse education history. Hannes pursued postgraduate studies in Big Data & Analytics in Business and Management at KU Leuven from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Business Economics with a major in Architecture, Infrastructure and Big Data from KU Leuven between 2012 and 2014. In 2013, they participated in an Erasmus Exchange program at IGR-IAE Rennes.

Hannes Heylen obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Economics with a major in Information Systems Engineering from KU Leuven from 2009 to 2012. In 2011, they also participated in a Faculty Exchange program at QUT (Queensland University of Technology).

Before their university education, Hannes Heylen attended SJC Aarschot from 2003 to 2009, where they completed the Wetenschappen-Wiskunde curriculum.

In addition to their formal education, Hannes Heylen has obtained certifications in PRINCE2 Foundation from APMG International in April 2016 and COBIT 5 Foundation from APMG International in March 2016.
