Matt Bernard

Matt Bernard currently serves as the Director of Risk Analytics at Bell Bank, a role held since September 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing Model Risk Management and risk metric tracking and reporting. Prior to this, Matt held various positions at TCF Bank, culminating in the role of AVP, Supervisor of Financial Crimes Compliance Analytics, focusing on enhancing BSA/AML/OFAC and fraud monitoring applications. Additional experience includes work as a Business System Analyst II, where statistical analysis on fraud detection and Anti Money Laundering efforts was emphasized, and roles in operational analytics and customer inquiry investigations. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual. Matt holds a B.A. in Economics from Winona State University, obtained in 2009.
