Julie Fox has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Julie started their career as a Staff Accountant at Eric J. Fernandez & Co. in 1995 and then worked as an Accounting Manager at Arthur Machinery from 1996 to 1998. Following that, they joined Bell Flavors & Fragrances in 1998 as the Controller for U.S operations, where they managed the Accounting & Finance departments, handled inventory management, and oversaw financial reporting. Alongside their corporate roles, Julie was also actively involved with the Libertarian Party. Julie held various positions within the party, including Newsletter copy editor, Special Events Coordinator, Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, and Convention Committee Chair. Julie was also a candidate for the Illinois State Comptroller in 2002, 2010, and 2014. Additionally, Julie served as a Board member and Treasurer for the Dundee Township Library District from 2001 to 2005, before resigning due to relocation. Currently, they serve as the Chair of the Fox Valley LP local chapter.

Julie Fox obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they attended from 1978 to 1980. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General from the University of Illinois Chicago, but the specific dates of their attendance are unknown.
