Joshua Carter

Joshua Carter is an accomplished photojournalist currently working at Belleville News-Democrat since July 2023. Previously, Joshua served as Editor in Chief at Golden Gate Xpress from December 2022 to July 2023, overseeing staffing, production, and projects for the San Francisco State University newspaper. Joshua's experience also includes roles as a photographer for Associated Students at San Francisco State University, capturing multimedia content for campus events from May 2022 to July 2023, and as an editorial intern at Alternative Press Magazine, where writing and research focused on alternative music and related cultures occurred. Joshua's foundational experience includes serving in the U.S. Navy as a Fire Controlman First Class and a Public Affairs Assistant. Educationally, Joshua holds an Associate of Arts in English from City College of San Francisco and a Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism from San Francisco State University.
