Dave Hernandez is a seasoned photojournalist and assignment editor with extensive experience in multimedia journalism. Currently serving as an Assignment Editor for NBC10 - Telemundo 62 - NBC Sports Philly since June 2023, Hernandez also works as a Freelance Photojournalist for NJ Advance Media and The Philadelphia Inquirer, as well as a Contract Photojournalist for ZUMA Press since November 2019. Previous roles include Freelance Photojournalist for Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK and Staff Photojournalist for the Catholic Star Herald. Hernandez is known for a unique approach to fire photography, focusing on commemorating extraordinary actions. As the owner of Dave Hernandez Photo LLC since December 2010, Hernandez produces high-quality photos and videos for various clients. A graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Hernandez has a comprehensive background in capturing stills and video for a diverse range of stories.
