Kirsten Chang is a communications specialist at the Institute for Emerging Issues, where responsibilities include promoting the work of two departments at NC State University through digital marketing strategies. With extensive experience as an author, Kirsten has written educational non-fiction books for beginning readers at both Bellwether Media and Jump!, Inc. Previous roles include communications and outreach assistant at TROSA, Inc., and corps member at JOHNSON SERVICE CORPS, where leadership and service skills were developed. Additional experience comprises editing and managing production for children's nonfiction books, coordinating contests for student journalists, and contributing to various literary and media organizations. Kirsten holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the same institution.
