Jeff Gustafson

Jeff Gustafson currently serves as the Lab Manager in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Belmont University, a position held since June 2020. Prior experience includes working as an Education Outreach Specialist at The University of Chicago Materials Research Science and Engineering Center from January 2018 to March 2020, where program planning and facilitation was key, as well as networking with educators and coordinating volunteers. Jeff also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Galli Research Group at The University of Chicago, focusing on computational chemistry simulations. Earlier roles include being an Organic Chemistry Supplemental Instruction Peer Mentor at Iowa State University and an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Wenyu Huang Research Group, emphasizing syntheses of core-shell nanoparticles and sample analysis. Jeff holds a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Iowa State University.
