Bruno Vilar

Bruno Vilar has worked in a variety of roles in the Data Science and Software Engineering fields since 2003. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a Programmer, Undergraduate Student Researcher, Trainee, and Teaching Assistant at CEULP/ULBRA. In 2006, they were a System Analyst at Aldeia Tecnológica. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Teaching Internship at Universidade Estadual de Campinas. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Software Analyst and Data Scientist at Instituto de Pesquisas Eldorado. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Senior Data Scientist at SEEK. In 2020, they were a Senior Data Scientist at DASA after it acquired the startup Nexa, where they had been a Senior Machine Learning Engineer since 2019. In 2021, they were a Senior Data Scientist at Elo7, and they are currently a Senior Data Scientist at Belvo since 2022.

Bruno Vilar completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Centro Universitário Luterano de Palmas between 2002 and 2006. Bruno then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2009. In 2014, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the same institution. In addition to their formal education, Vilar has obtained numerous certifications from Coursera and edX, including a Machine Learning Specialization, a Natural Language Processing Specialization, and a Big Data Specialization.
