John Siggins

John Siggins has extensive experience in technology commercialization, marketing, and sales. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central & Northern PA since December 2011, John guides early-stage companies through the funding and support process. As Assistant Director of the Ben Franklin Shale Gas Innovation & Commercialization Center, John fosters innovation in the energy sector. Previously, John held roles at Penn State University from April 2000 to December 2011 as Associate Director of the Industrial Research Office and Senior Tech Specialist in the Office of Tech Management, where efforts focused on connecting industry with university researchers to promote collaborative research and commercialization of intellectual property. Earlier in John's career, from 1990 to 1999, John served as VP of Marketing & Sales at Browning Ferris Industries, overseeing a team providing Total Waste Management Services across a six-state region. John holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, earned between 1980 and 1985.
