Allyson Byrd is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in the field of bioinformatics. Currently serving as an Assistant Member and Principal Investigator at Benaroya Research Institute, Byrd has previously held significant roles at Genentech, including Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist. Allyson also completed a Bioinformatics PhD at Boston University from 2012 to 2017 and further honed skills as a Bioinformatics PhD student at the National Human Genome Research Institute. Additionally, Byrd contributed to education as a Course Assistant for Biology of Parasitism at the Marine Biological Laboratory. Byrd holds a B.S. in Genetics from The University of Georgia, obtained in 2012.
