Cherrie Lam

Cherrie Lam has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2015 as a Field Researcher for African Security Issues at The University of British Columbia. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Sustainable Development Assistant at the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation. In 2016, Cherrie joined PeaceGeeks, where they held various roles including Digital Projects Coordinator, Product Designer and Digital Projects & Fundraising Manager. Cherrie managed multi-channel communications campaigns and led product planning and launch. Cherrie then worked as a Product Inclusion Consultant at Pause and Effect starting in 2021. Currently, they are employed at Bench Accounting as a Senior Product Designer, and as of 2023, they hold the position of Principal Product Designer.

Cherrie Lam earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations with a minor in Economics from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. In 2014, they briefly attended Lund University to study Peace and Conflict Studies and Development Studies. Cherrie also had a short-term enrollment at Université de Montréal in 2015.
