Ugochi Jones

Ugochi Jones has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Ugochi started their career as a Graduate Student at Stanford University from 2005 to 2012. After that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at DePaul University, where they were involved in research. Ugochi then joined Digital Youth Network as a Senior Data Analyst, where they analyzed log data and developed data quality protocols from 2015 to 2017.

In 2018, Ugochi joined ThinkCERCA as a Senior Data Scientist, responsible for conducting studies on student learning and managing the data team. Ugochi also held the position of Director of Data & Analytics, overseeing data infrastructure and collaborating with the engineering team.

In 2020, Ugochi moved to Benchmark Analytics, first as Director of Data Sciences and later as Vice President of Data Science. In these roles, they were responsible for developing machine learning infrastructure, managing a team of data scientists, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver quality products and support.

Ugochi's most recent position is as a Member at Chief, starting in 2023.

Ugochi Jones received a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in the years 1999-2003. Following this, Ugochi pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science at Stanford University from 2003-2005. Lastly, Ugochi earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Learning Sciences and Technology Design from Stanford University from 2005-2012. Prior to attending Stanford University, Ugochi attended Shorecrest High School, though no specific start or end dates were provided for this education.
