Mark Shoffner is an experienced educator and creative professional with a diverse background in art instruction and educational writing. Currently serving as an Instructor/Artist-in-Residence at the San Francisco Arts Education Project since September 2022, Mark teaches art and writing classes at Glen Park School. Mark has a long-standing freelance writing career that began in 2014, specializing in K-12 textbooks and online content across various subjects, including ESL and language arts, for notable clients such as Benchmark Education and Scholastic. As an author and illustrator, Mark published the illustrated chapter book "MIRIAM: The Witch of Glen Park" in 2018. Previous roles include ESL instruction, project editing for major educational publishers like McGraw-Hill Education, and collaborative visual arts projects. Mark holds an MFA from Queens College and a BA in Art and Spanish Literature from Macalester College.
