Abubakr Sharif

Abubakr Sharif has a wealth of experience in product management, software development, and product implementation. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Technical Product Owner for BenchPrep. In 2020, they took on the role of Technical Product Manager at AUTHENTIC Learning Labs, where they interfaced directly with stakeholders to ensure products met the needs of the client while staying within the overall product vision. Abubakr also worked with development teams to build new learning products using the latest in software tools and technologies. From 2016-2020, they were employed at Community Brands, where they held the roles of Product Owner, Crowd Wisdom LMS, Implementation Engineer, Crowd Wisdom LMS, and Product Expert. As Product Owner, they managed the product roadmap for the CrowdWisdom LMS and completed market research. As Implementation Engineer, they analyzed industry trends, customer needs, and scalability while communicating and managing R&D needs. As Product Expert, they ensured successful LMS launches onto the Crowd Wisdom platform by working closely with the Product and Project teams to fulfill client specific setup requirements. Abubakr also gathered and migrated client content from external sources and loaded onto the Crowd Wisdom LMS.

Abubakr Sharif graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science. Abubakr also holds certifications from LinkedIn in Agile Product Owner Role: Foundations (obtained in 2021) and Strategic Thinking (obtained in 2020). Abubakr also holds an Adult Learning Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
