Alistair Muir

Independent Director at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank

Alistair Muir is an experienced entrepreneur and director who has dedicated their career to developing new technologies and driving growth in large enterprises. Alistair is currently an independent director at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, and was previously an Entrepreneur in Residence at CSIRO's Data61.

At Data61, Alistair was responsible for commercialising a set of technologies that allowed for data partnerships to be undertaken without ever needing to move, disclose or share raw data. This platform, called N1 Analytics, used privacy-enhancing technologies such as homomorphic encryption and private set intersection to allow multiple parties to jointly conduct data projects without ever decrypting data.

Before joining Data61, Alistair was a non-executive director and chair of the technology committee at Humm Group, where they were responsible for pursuing new data-focused growth opportunities and executing on these opportunities through a blend of partnering, equity investment and product/capability development.

Alistair's experience in corporate venturing, start-ups, growth, open banking, digital product development and artificial intelligence makes him well-placed to drive Bendigo and Adelaide Bank's digital transformation agenda.
