Jani Moliis

Jani Moliis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jani is currently working as a Strategy Manager at JBJ Foundation since February 2022. Additionally, they serve as the Honorary Consul of Rwanda in Finland for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda since May 2022.

Prior to their current positions, Jani co-founded BeneFactors Ltd in 2017 and held the role of Chairman of the Board. In this role, they provided management support and guidance during the company's initial growth phase and helped navigate through the COVID-19 crisis. Jani's expertise was instrumental in establishing BeneFactors Ltd as one of the most promising start-ups in Africa.

Before their involvement with BeneFactors Ltd, Jani was the CEO and Game Designer at Moliis Brothers Ltd since August 2008. Jani specialized in designing various types of games, including board games, computer games, money games, and card games. Jani also provided coaching and training on creative processes.

Jani's work experience also includes leadership positions at Helsingin kaupunki – Helsingfors stad – City of Helsinki. From April 2021 to February 2022, they served as the Head of Enterprise Services, and from January 2019 to March 2021, they were the Head of International Affairs. During their tenure, Jani contributed significantly to the city's enterprise services and international relations.

Furthermore, Jani served as the Chairman of the Board at Helsinki Abroad Oy from April 2019 to February 2022. Jani oversaw the operations of Helsinki Centre, the city of Helsinki's representative office in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Jani has also made significant contributions in the field of global governance. From November 2017 to January 2019, they worked as the Country Head at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and supported Rwanda's Ministry of Finance and Economic Development as a Governance Advisor from January 2016 to October 2017.

Prior to these roles, Jani founded and served as the Managing Director of Adventure Rooms Rwanda from March 2018 to April 2019. Additionally, they were the CEO of CharmCastle Entertainment Ltd, a mobile gaming start-up, from March 2014 to December 2016.

Jani started their career at Kuntien Tiera Oy, where they held various positions, including Head of Consulting Services from September 2013 to January 2016 and Business Development Director from August 2012 to August 2013. Jani played a key role in developing and selling the company's consulting services.

Jani Moliis began their education by completing their International Baccalaureate degree at SYK from 1995 to 1998. Following this, they attended OCS from 1992 to 1995. Jani then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations at Webster Vienna Private University, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. Finally, Jani Moliis furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Social Sciences degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki, which they completed between 2001 and 2004.
