Lain Gutierrez

Lain Gutierrez has extensive work experience in the finance industry. They worked as a Managing Director at Benefit Street Partners since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the CEO of CleanFund from 2019 to 2022, where they provided financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Lain was also the CEO of SolFin Capital, LLC from 2018 to 2019, specializing in debt solutions for clean energy installations. They held the position of Senior Vice President at DBRS from 2011 to 2018 and worked as a Partner at Cold Street Partners LLC from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Lain served as the CFO of SATSair LLC in 2008, where they managed the financial operations of a start-up air taxi operator. They also worked as a Director at Citi from 1996 to 2007.

Lain Gutierrez pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance, General from NYU Stern School of Business, completing it from 1986 to 1990. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from the same institution, from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their academic achievements, Lain Gutierrez obtained a certification as a Commercial Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration in September 2007.
