Rudy Wouters has a comprehensive work experience in the food industry. Rudy started their career at Raffinerie Tirlemontoise / Tiense Suikerraffinaderij as a Food Technologist, where they conducted application research on the use of inulin and oligofructose in various food applications. Rudy then joined McCain as a Technical Product Manager, responsible for managing product development. Following that, they worked at BENEO-Orafti as a Food Application Manager, providing worldwide technical support and customer service. Rudy later joined Raffinerie Tirlemontoise as a Consumer Product Development Manager before moving back to BENEO as the Head of Food Application Technology. Currently, they are the Head of Beneo Technology Center, overseeing the global Customer Technical Support and different Food Application Centers in BENEO for the development and evaluation of functional and technological food ingredients and processes. Overall, Rudy Wouters has a strong background in food application development and extensive expertise in various functional food ingredients.
Rudy Wouters completed their Master (Ir.) degree in Food Technology and Biochemistry from KU Leuven, with a period of study from 1984 to 1990. In 1995, they also pursued postgraduate studies in Business Management at the Leuven School of Economics, which lasted until 1996.
