Johanna McBurnie has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. In 2012, they worked at LifeCycles Project Society as a Growing Schools Coordinator and later as a Food Security Community Facilitator. In 2014, they interned at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia before taking up an auxiliary position at the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation. In 2015, they became a Compliance Analyst at the British Columbia Ministry of Finance. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Scrum Master at Limbic Media. In 2018, they transitioned to the position of Senior Scrum Master at BC Public Service. Currently, they are employed at Benevity as a Delivery Lead.
Johanna McBurnie earned a Diploma in Social Justice Studies from the University of Victoria in 2013. Johanna also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honours degree in Economics from the same university, which they obtained in 2012. Additionally, Johanna obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in May 2016.
