Nicola Richmond

Nicola Richmond is the current VP of AI at BenevolentAI. Prior to joining BenevolentAI, Nicola was the head of Artificial Intelligence at Ladder Therapeutics from March to May of 2022. Nicola also spent 18 years at GSK, where they were the Director of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In this role, Nicola led the GSK.ai Fellowship Programme, which trains early-career machine learning researchers in the pharmaceutical industry, software engineering best practice, and how to translate ML research into tools that will advance the discovery of innovative medicines. Nicola started their career as a scientist at Unilever from January 2000 to December 2002, before moving to Tessella as an Associate Analyst from October 1999 to June 2000.

Nicola Richmond has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pure Mathematics from the University of Leeds, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from The University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh.

They work with Fleur Wood - VP, Investor Relations, Nick Keher - CFO. Their manager is Dave Michalovich, SVP, Precision Medicine.
